Undergoing uncomfortable procedures
First Dates star Fred Siriex has recently undergone two painful procedures in the hospital. The 51-year-old had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy done to investigate the root cause of his iron deficiency, which was previously detected in a blood test.
Avoiding sedation
Despite the potential pain, Fred decided against sedation for both procedures. He did extensive research to see if he could tolerate the discomfort without any medication. Surprisingly, he managed to get through both procedures without being sedated.

After his hospital stay, Fred shared an Instagram post featuring a photo of him in a hospital gown, flashing a peace sign with his fingers. Another picture shows him dressed and posing with his consultant.
