1. Kat and Phil get ready for their wedding
Wedding bells will be ringing for the couple as their big day approaches.
The pair have been engaged for several months, even throughout the Walford tough man’s stay in prison.
This week, Phil Mitchell and Kat Slater (portrayed by Steve McFadden and Jessie Wallace) are finally ready to walk down the aisle.
But in true EastEnders fashion, many obstacles will bar their way.

Coming up, the owner of Kat’s Cabs gets a huge shock when her grandmother Big Mo Harris makes an appearance in typical Mo style.
With the celebrations underway, the market traders surprise Kat and Phil but the former begins to doubt her future with her other half when his ex, Shirley Carter, has a word with her.
But two other jilted exes will be stirring up trouble.
Alfie Moon has a request for Kat Slater
2. Alfie comes back
Actor Shane Richie is reprising the role of Alfie Moon this week and, to her horror, shows up on Kat Slater’s doorstep.
Kat is less than happy to see her former husband and his intentions become clear quickly as he begs her to reconsider marrying Phil.
Fuming, she puts him in his place but Phil can’t help but get involved.
But as he tries to square up to Alfie, Kat assures Phil she will meet him at the altar, encouraging him to leave her to it.
Alfie tries his luck again but Kat forces him to go.
However, things take a turn when he comes back to his canal boat and finds his twin sons, Bert and Ernie, who snuck in his van.
As Kat reels to Stacey, she gets a call from Alfie forcing her to come and fetch the kids, thus making her late to her own wedding.
Once she arrives, the twins refuse to get off the boat and all hell breaks loose as the bride gets kidnapped.
Sharon Watts is determined to get Phil back
3. Sharon has a plan
Unfortunately for both Kat and Phil, another ex will be trying to sabotage their upcoming nuptials.
Kat’s former pal Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is on a mission to get Phil back from her.
While Kat sports her white dress, Sharon hands Phil an old photo of them after some encouragement from her brother Zack Hudson and she tells him how good they are together.
However, Phil has made his choice and is adamant on marrying Kat.
Meanwhile, Zack overhears their conversation and jumps to the wrong conclusion that Phil and Sharon area ready to give their romance another go.
When Kat finds out, she storms over to challenge the groom who assures her he only loves her but Kat won’t hear a word of it and heads right over to Sharon.
The pair get into a war of words and Sharon has to accept Phil has no interest in going back to her.
Later on at The Vic, Sharon, Shirley and Kathy Beale all toast to no longer being involved with Phil.
But when Sharon learns that Kat is a no show at the ceremony, she gets another idea that could help her get Phil back.
Will Sharon and Alfie succeed in breaking the lovebirds apart?
Frankie is still reeling from her assault
4. Frankie vows revenge
After being repeatedly harassed in nightclub, followed home and assaulted, Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) is trying to pick herself back up.
This week, her father Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) enlists Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) help with encouraging Frankie to call the police about the man who harassed her.
As an assault survivor himself, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) uses his own experience to pitch in and, eventually, Frankie agrees with them.
Frankie thus gives her statement to Jack Branning with Mick’s full support.
However, the police officer tells her that getting a conviction will be hard, leaving both Frankie and Mick feeling helpless.
This has a huge impact on Frankie’s behaviour at work as she later spots Nugget and Denzel interact with an uncomfortable Amy Mitchell, which only makes her rage grow.
Matters go from bad to worse when Lola rants to her about certain behaviours in men and Frankie feels buoyed on to stand up for women.
Back at her work as a teaching assistant, Frankie pulls both Denzel and Nugget up on their behaviour with Amy.
Frankie later thanks Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) for her support, believing she did the right thing in standing up for Amy.
But will Frankie get justice?
Vinny is overwhelmingly jealous of Dotty’s friendship with Finlay – but it develops into something more
5. Vinny attacks Finlay
There’s another love triangle emerging in the Square as Vinny Panesar finds out his girlfriend Dotty Cotton is harbouring potential feelings for another man – newcomer Finlay Baker.
The manager of KJP Pest Control played by Shiv Jalota went above and beyond to help his girlfriend (portrayed by Milly Zero) as she was going through hardship.
However, their relationship hasn’t always gone smoothly and Dotty even questioned the nature of her feelings for Vinny.
These doubts escalate when she finds a kindred spirit in the form of Finlay (Ashley Byam).
Coming up, Dotty and Finlay reflect and bond over their fathers and he invites her for a drink.
While Finlay’s father Avery passed away after battling cancer, Dotty learned Rocky Cotton was her biological father during the 2021 festive season after believing he was actually her uncle her entire life.
Unfortunately for both Finlay and Dotty, Vinny spots them leaving together and is gutted.
Later on, Vinny’s jealousy grows as he sees how close and friendly Finlay and Dotty are getting – and his temper gets the best of him.
A fuming Vinny punches Finlay, making the situation worse than ever.
Despite this, he’s able to find support in his sister Ash (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) who offers some reassuring words.
Vinny makes the decision to reach out to Dotty after his outburst… unaware she’s sleeping with Finlay.
The following day, Dotty begins her walk of shame but Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) catches her out and encourages her to be honest with Vinny.
Rocky later sees her contemplating and, not knowing the situation, still offers some similar advice.
Dotty follows suit and comes clean to Vinny about her night with Finlay, leaving him devastated.
Finlay intervenes but tension only grows as Vinny throws Dotty out of the house.
