Flipping Fast viewers all have the same complaint about ‘rip off’ new property series

FLIPPING Fast viewers are all in an uproar over the new property series, with some even claiming to turn off just minutes into its first episode.

The Channel 4 series will see six teams given £100,000 at the start of the process to spend on property and, after 12 months, the team who has made the most profit wins.

The winning team will receive an additional £100,000 investment to launch their own property company and will also be able to keep any profit they have made over the course of the show.

Throughout the series, the teams will have help and guidance from the property expert hosts.

As the groups use their cash injection to renovate properties, they will hope to add as much value as they can before putting them up for sale at the end of the show.

The first episode, which aired on Wednesday night, saw married couple Gordon and Pamela fall considerably short of winning the first round of the competition.

ON THE MOVE

Channel 4 favourite George Clarke is back with new show Flipping Fast

The pair decided to buy a house that they have never seen in person – 200 miles from their home.

The house is in a village called Fishburn, near Stockton on Tees, where prices have dropped by 11 per cent in the last year.

In total, the couple paid £52,500 on the house and plan to spend £6000 on renovating it.

Upon seeing the house for the first time, Gordon said: “That looks like a lovely little village.”

However, viewers weren’t as impressed, with many claiming the show was “ripping off” Homes Under The Hammer.

Taking to Twitter, one person penned: “Is it just me or is Flipping Fast ripping off Homes Under The Hammer? Woeful.”

A second person added: “Flipping Fast is a show that turns Britain’s housing crisis into a game. Ridiculous viewing.”

While a third exclaimed: “Flipping Fast is awful! I’ve turned it off. Do we really need yet another property show?”

Flipping Fast returns next Wednesday, June 1 at 9pm on Channel 4.
