LOVE Island fans begged producers to step in and “save” Ella B from Mitchel after he branded her fake days before the final.
Mitch accused Ella B of being ‘fake’ shortly after they landed in the bottom three and narrowly escaped the axe.
Love Island’s Messy Mitch has left viewers reeling again after calling Ella B ‘fake’
He said it in front of the boys on Wednesday, but the comment made its way to Ella through Molly and Whitney.
Mitch also claimed he thought Ella was more into being in the villa than being with him.
Reacting to his comments on Twitter, one viewer said: “Mitch being exclusive with Ella B and then calling her fake.
“Nah this man is genuinely SCARY like how can he sit through this date acting all lovey thinking she’s fake?? One INSANE man.”
Another tweeted: “Save ella b from messy mitch it’s so painful to watch.”
However, a third said that Mitch might be right, and tweeted: “Idk whether Ella B saying she’s happy with Mitch is delusion, playing a game or a mix of both because she cannot believe that a man that called her FAKE to the rest of the villa actually likes her.”
Mitch and Ella now face the axe again after three Island couples voted them as the least compatible in the villa.
Either Mitch and Ella B, or Whitney and Lochan, will be sent home in the penultimate episode of the 2023 summer series on Sunday night.
Viewers were told the news at the end of Friday’s episode before narrator Iain Stirling revealed that Love Island phone lines were open for the public to vote to save one of the couples.
The pair with the fewest public votes will be dumped from the villa, with their exit announced in Sunday’s episode.
Despite receiving a vote from their co-stars, Whitney and Lochan are in fact the favourites to win the show in the eyes of viewers.
The series ends on Monday night at 9pm on ITV2.
