Geordie Shore star Nathan Henry has opened up about his biggest rival in the world of reality TV. In an interview on the Chloe Vs The World podcast, the 32-year-old shared details about his relationship with TOWIE star Joey Essex.
A Battle for Supremacy
Nathan, who joined Geordie Shore in 2015, revealed that his biggest competition in the industry is none other than Joey Essex. The TOWIE star, who made a big name for himself after joining the cast in 2011, has crossed paths with Nathan on various reality shows.
Kings of Reality TV?
When Nathan was hailed as the "king of reality TV" by former Love Island star Chloe Burrows on her podcast, he couldn't help but address the rivalry with Joey. Laughing it off, Nathan responded, "I know for a fact if Joey Essex is watching this and he heard you calling me the king of reality TV he'd be fuming." Chloe suggested that Nathan has appeared on more reality shows than Joey, to which Nathan admitted that they are always in competition with each other.
A Friendly Quarrel
During their time in Malta, Nathan and Joey engaged in a playful feud. Nathan recounted an incident where he claimed to be an icon, only for Joey to proclaim himself as a bigger icon. Nathan took the opportunity to remind Joey that he was the one getting the spotlight on the podcast.
Reality TV Veterans
Both Nathan and Joey have an impressive list of reality TV credits to their names. Nathan, who identified as bisexual, gained fame through Geordie Shore and has since appeared on shows like Celebrity Sex Pod, All Star Driving School, Celebs Go Dating, and Celebrity Ex On The Beach. He also participated in the Australian version of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
Joey, on the other hand, burst onto the reality TV scene with The Only Way Is Essex in 2011. He has since showcased his talents on shows like All-Star Family Fortunes, The Big Quiz, Celebrity Juice, Splash!, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, The Jump, Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, and MTV's Celebrity Ex on the Beach. In 2023, he even took on the challenge of Dancing On Ice.
