GOOD Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley made a big gaffe on today’s show as he announced the England score following the national team’s clash with Germany last night.
The broadcaster, 66, drew attention to England captain Harry Kane becoming only the second player to score 50 goals for the Three Lions.
He told viewers England “drew 1-0” with the Germans in Munich when the score was actually 1-1.
It didn’t escape some viewers, with one writing on Twitter: “England draw 1-0 with Germany??!! Nice one Richard Madeley!!”
Another said: “WTF Richard Madeley just said that England drew last night 1-0!.”
Tottenham striker Kane ‘won’ his 85th-minute penalty equaliser after contact with Nico Schlotterbeck.

He duly converted from the spot and has now surpassed Bobby Charlton and is just three goals behind Wayne Rooney’s all-time England goals record.
It meant that Gareth Southgate’s men avoided the indignity of back-to-back defeats for the first time in almost four years and stops them heading into a potential spiral of negativity five months out from the World Cup.
England seem to have regressed individually and collectively since they defeated Germany at last summer’s Euros.
Few of manager Gareth Southgate’s players had great seasons at club level and they haven’t looked convincing too often as a team, since that penalty shoot-out defeat by Wembley.
They lacked ambition until the 72nd-minute introduction of Jack Grealish, who helped turn the tide.
But England can always rely on Kane – Golden Boot winner at the last World Cup and a man who never seems to know when he is beaten, always knows where the goal is.
