Friday night's episode of the Channel 4 show, Gogglebox, brought the cast to tears as they watched an emotional clip from the new ITV series, My Mum Your Dad. The episode featured contestant Rodger, who opened up about the devastating loss of his wife of 30 years.

Rodger's heart-wrenching story touched the hearts of the Gogglebox cast and viewers alike. His wife, Joanne, was diagnosed with melanoma four years after beating breast cancer. Sadly, she passed away just 18 months before the clip aired, after the disease spread to her brain.
Emotional reactions
As the Gogglebox stars watched the clip, there wasn't a dry eye in sight. Sue, moved by Rodger's scene, told her partner Steve, "Make hay while the bloody sun shines because you don't know what's around the corner." Married couple Shirley and David were also emotional, with Shirley needing a tissue from David to wipe away her tears.
New ITV series
My Mum Your Dad is a new dating show on ITV that follows single parents who are nominated by their adult children to find love again. The show premiered on Monday and drew in 1.5 million viewers, the same as this summer's Love Island final.
