GOGGLEBOX favourites The Siddiquis look very different on holiday alongside the family’s rarely-seen mum who has never appeared on the show.
The much-loved family have been on our screens as part of the Channel 4 show since the first series in 2013.
Gogglebox legends The Siddiqui family are living their best lives on holiday
The Siddiquis have been on Gogglebox since 2013
Gogglebox viewers are used to seeing dad Sid and his sons Umar, Bassit are regulars on the programme.
Their brother Raza makes an appearance on the sofa every now and then… but one person who never shows their face on screen is their mum Nasreen.
Earlier this month viewers of the Channel 4 show were left devasted when it was revealed that the stars are on a break from filming until September.
This means that the cast can enjoy their summer before they start shooting again – and The Siddiquis have jetted off to Spain for a well-earned rest.
Sid, Raza and Nasreen are currently away on holiday and have been sharing snaps on Instagram to show what they’ve been up to.
Sid took to his page to share a sweet picture with his wife and son on a balcony at their hotel.
He captioned the post: “Some Siddiquis went to Mojacar for few days to top up the tan.”
Fans rushed to the comments section to share how much they loved seeing rarely-seen Nasreen.
One said: “How lovely and how lovely to see mama Siddiqui.”
Another added: “How lovely to see your wife x.”
Gogglebox fans were left over the moon when the family admitted they have no plans to leave anytime soon.
In an Instagram Q&A last month, the family lifted the lid on a series of show secrets.
Responding to their fans, the family confirmed that among some of the programmes they wish they didn’t have to watch include adult programmes including Sex Box.
Writing on Instagram, the boys said: “Not a fan of watching things like Sex Box with our dad though, that was a little bit awkward.”
On the whole, they admitted to enjoying most things the show’s producers put in front of them, saying: “We like to watch a variety of things & Gogglebox does allow us to watch stuff we possibly wouldn’t have!”
Baasit went onto open up on the real reason the family managed to make it onto screen.
Confirming it was all down to a pal, Bassit wrote during the Q&A: “I (Bassit) had a friend I used to work with when I was working in a video shop (showing my age) & she was working with Studio Lambet [production company] at the time when the Gogglebox idea was born & they were trialing the show & looking for family’s etc & she suggested us!”
Bassit then added: “I don’t think anyone thought it would grow into what it has & still be on TV 10 years later!!”
