HARRIET The Spy child star Michelle Trachtenberg looks unrecognisable 17 years after the hit kids’ movie.
Michelle, now 37, played aspiring spy Harriet in the 1996 film, which also starred Rosie O’Donnell.

She was eleven at the time of landing the gig.
Michelle then went on to play Dawn in 90s series Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Georgina in Noughties tv sensation Gossip Girl.
While Michelle briefly reprised her role as the socialite in the short-lived revival of the Upper East Side teen drama last year, these days she appears to have mostly quit acting.
Instead, she recently hosted a true crime series, Meet, Marry, Murder.
Michelle also executive produced a teen streaming series, Guidance, back in 2015.
The actress looks very different these days on her social media, where she regularly posts to instagram.
While she still sports jet black locks, she looks very grown up compared to the child and teen star millions remember.
Michelle seems to have embraced painting as a hobby, sharing snaps of herself with paint on her hands captioned: “Painting is such sweet joy #selfcare #artsy #creative #friday”
The actress lives with her partner Jay and their cat, Sir Winston.
She has shared cute snaps of her furry friend on her grid, calling him “the new addition to our family”.
Michelle clearly looks back fondly on her time in some of the biggest shows on television.
She recently shared a throwback of herself with Buffy co-stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Seth Green.
The cute snap was captioned: “Love these two!”
Michelle has previously spoken out about Buffy creator Joss Whedon and said accused him of being “not appropriate” on set.
She opened up in 2021 after seeing co-star Sarah Michelle do so in the wake of fellow cast member Charisma Carpenter’s allegations against the show creator.
After Charisma shared the allegations, Michelle’s onscreen sister, Sarah, who starred as the titular character, released a statement saying she stands “with all survivors of abuse and am proud of them for speaking out.”
The Gossip Girl alum quickly re-shared Sarah’s post, thanking her for saying something.
Michelle added her own perspective on the situation, sharing: “I am brave enough now as a 35 year old woman….To repost this. Because. This must. Be known.
“As a teenager. With his not appropriate behavior….very. Not. Appropriate. So now. People know. What Joss. Did.”
She continued in the comments section: “You. Are my rock!! What he did was very bad. But we win. By surviving!”
The Harriet the Spy actress added in her Instagram Story: “We know what he did. Behind. The. Scenes.”
