Helen Flanagan admits she got ‘mum guilt’ over shouting at her daughter and getting child care for her son

HELEN Flanagan has revealed she struggled with ‘mum guilt’ yesterday.

The actress, 31, admitted she shouted at her eldest daughter Matilda, six, because she keeps losing her glasses and said she felt bad after getting help with her youngest Charlie, one.

Helen and Scott Sinclair are parents to Matilda, Delilah and Charlie

Sharing a picture of herself looking glum, Helen told her followers:  “I had mum guilt today over two things, I shouted at Matilda as she keeps losing her glasses all the time and needs them and I felt bad about that all day until I picked her up.

“Then I felt bad that I had child care for Charlie today even though I really needed it.”

Helen, who is also mum to Delilah, three, with partner Scott Sinclair, has been very open with parenting struggles in recent weeks.

In a lengthy post as she discussed stopping breastfeeding Charlie, she revealed:  “Found the past weeks quite challenging with mum life. I think it’s quite good to be honest as we see such perfect images of motherhood on social media.”

Helen had previously told how Charlie refused to eat – favouring breast milk instead.

Earlier this month, the star – who is best loved for playing Rosie Webster on the cobbles – revealed all three of children had scarlet fever.

The contagious infection is a bacterial bug that causes a distinctive red rash and mainly affects children.

Meanwhile Helen dropped a hint she could be heading back to the Cobbles after going off on maternity leave in 2018.

She revealed she was recently working in Manchester, where the popular ITV soap is filmed.

And fans of the soap were quick to speculate that it could mean a return for beloved Rosie to the Rovers.

Alongside an array of red love heart emojis, one person penned: “Helen, you absolute tease. Does this mean you’re going back to Corrie?”

Echoing their comments, someone else said: “Always loved you in Corrie! Are you returning as the great Rosie Webster?”

While a third added: “Time to do the Rosie thing again! Would be incredible to see you come home.”

Helen and footballer Scott got engaged in 2018 after nine years of dating.
