The 42-year-old is reportedly devastated after discovering the alleged plan to kidnap and harm her. Last Friday, Gavin Plumb, 36, appeared in court, facing charges of soliciting to commit murder and incitement to commit kidnap. Police found disturbing items, such as chloroform, cable ties, a blindfold, and ropes, at his Essex residence.

Authorities believe that the items found in Plumb's home constitute a 'kidnap and restraint kit', further fueling concerns about Holly's safety. In addition, it has been revealed that Plumb attempted to hire a hitman from the US to carry out the plot against the star.
ITV provides support and security for Holly
ITV has been accommodating in allowing Holly to remain on leave until she feels comfortable returning to work. The channel is also providing security and support to ensure her safety. Furthermore, police officers have been stationed outside Holly's London residence, where she lives with her husband and three children.

In Holly's absence, Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson will be stepping in to present This Morning this week.
Gavin Plumb has been denied bail and is scheduled to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on November 3.
