She claims she had a Zoom interview and sent in a self-tape, but didn’t end up making the final cast

Miriam, known online as @miriammullins_, regularly shares honest videos with her two million followers.

In a new reel, she shares what happened when a Love Island producer slid into her DMs and asked if she’d be interested in featuring on season four of the reality show.

“People actually ask me all the time if I was to go on Love Island now if I was single, would I? Not in a million years.

“So i got a DM on Instagram and I think at the time I had about 15k on Instagram, and I don’t know why they DM-ed me because I was ugly.

“So I thought it was fake but anyway I got this DM and it was like, ‘hey, we’d love for you to audition for a show on ITV. If you could jump on a call, let us know’ or whatever.

“So I was a bit sceptical of it, I didn’t think it was real. It was from a random Instagram account.

“And I showed it to one of my friends and she was like ‘that could be Love Island or something’ and I was like, ‘I don’t think so’.

“But anyway, I was like, ‘f*** it. I’m just finished college, life is too short, let’s see what this is’.

“So I got the link for the Zoom and I got an email and it was from ITV, so I had a call with a Love Island producer.

“And after the call, they were literally like, ‘if you could send us a video of you auditioning for Love Island’ and I was like, ‘okay, no bother’.

“So I sent the video.

“Lads, I looked at this video just the other day because it’s on my YouTube channel, but I have it privated, and I swear to go, I’m going to have to actually show it to you because it is so bad.

“So I had the call, I sent away the video and that was it.

“Didn’t hear anything after. I’d say after that Zoom call they were like ‘no, we’re not bringing this b**** on, she’s ugly.”

She continues: “So I think it was for the season that Georgia Steel and all that, the twins were on it. Maybe the one Megan Barton-Hanson was on? I actually can’t remember, it was 2018 kind of time.

“So that was the one I auditioned for, but yeah, I literally got a DM, went on a call with a girl, like a female producer asking me questions, sent a video, that was it, didn’t hear anything.

“Didn’t get it. But yeah, I didn’t really care at the time, I moved to Florida, [and] I met my boyfriend the year after, it was fine, but that was the time I actually ever auditioned for Love Island.”

Fans loved Miriam’s story, with the video gaining more than 29,000 likes and 203,000 views.

In the comments, her followers begged to see her audition self-tape, with one writing: “Can you please show us the video it would be brilliant.”

Someone else wrote: “U would be a Maura Higgins the second.”
