A GREAT British Bake Off star has broken her silence on her unexpected Hollywood role alongside The Rock and Keanu Reeves.
Val Stones, who became a firm fan favourite back in 2016 on the Channel 4, has confirmed that her voice was used in this year’s kids super hero flick DC League of Super-Pets.

Speaking about dipping her toe into La La Land, Val, 72, told The Celeb Report: “The biggest thing that has happened since Bake Off is Keanu Reeves and The Rock having to wait until I say my words in the latest DC League Super-Pets movie.
“Honestly, I had people saying, ‘Val we heard you in the latest movie,’ and I said ‘oh I don’t know anything about this.’
“So I put it out there and more and more people said ‘yeah it is you Val.’
“So I got in touch with them and said, ‘can you find out if it is me?’
“It’s a matter of courtesy. It’s very embarrassing to not know I’m in a movie.
“Anyway, I got a message back from them and they sent me a thing to sign.”
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is starring in the film as Krypto the Superdog, the canine pal of one Superman while Reeves is Batman.
Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood’s voice also features in the scene.
Substitute teacher Val was a contestant on the show back when Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins still presented on the BBC.
With her adorable accent and ability to keep dropping things, Bake Off viewers couldn’t get enough of Val.
She was adored for her love of her Somerset home and her need to sing and talk to every one of her many bakes in the tent.
Val also revealed that she has since been spotted in some other rather peculiar places.

“People say life will not be the same again after doing Bake Off and no, it is never the same again,” she concluded.
“I’ve been recognised on the Great Wall of China, several times in America and always at the airport.”
The Great British Bake Off continues on C4 at 8pm on Tuesdays.
Val was the fifth star to be booted off the show in 2016
