LOVE Island’s AJ Bunker has revealed that bosses made her change her name five minutes before she walked into the villa – and her family had no idea.
The 28-year-old shot to fame on the seventh series of the ITV2 show in 2021.

The hair extension technician entered the villa as a bombshell on day 17.
The star is known as AJ, but actually goes by the real name of Andrea Jane and people call her Andrea, Jane or Janey.
However her moniker was changed before entering the ITV2 villa.
Speaking to OK! magazine, AJ said: “Minutes before I walked into the villa, an exec asked if it was ok if I was called AJ.
“I thought he was speaking about the codename and wanted to keep my real name underwraps.
“I didn’t realise they were actually going to change my name.
“When I first went into the villa, my friends and family didn’t know I’d got a place on the show because I couldn’t tell them.
“Then when they saw my photo they thought it looked like me but that it must’ve been a different person because that wasn’t my name.
“My friends have told me it took a few minutes for them to actually realise I was on the show – even my best friend running my social media account was confused.”
The reality favourite got emotional upon her return to the UK as she tried to explain to her loved ones what had happened.
She added: “I remember coming out of the villa and turning my phone on and seeing everyone calling me AJ. I cried my eyes out as soon as I saw it.”
The Love Island 2021 star previously told The Celeb Report why Islanders wear sunglasses in bed, why they never get filmed eating and the VERY racy audition process.
AJ had a very short-lived time in the villa.
She entered as a bombshell and quickly coupled up with Hugo Hammond.
The pair unfortunately didn’t find a spark and the boys chose to dump her from the Island on day 23.
