A GUEST on iconic MTV show Pimp My Ride accused the program of ‘planting sweets’ in their car because they were fat.
The guest complained show producers went out of their way to make them look “extra fat” and even installed a cotton candy machine in the car.
Pimp My Ride is returning to MTV Uk
The series which carried out jaw-dropping car transformations at an autoshop, first aired in the US and is returning to UK screens this month.
Taking to Reddit the guest explained their horrible experience on the show.
“I like most of it. I know im fat, but they went the extra mile to make me look extra fat by telling the world that I kept candy all over my seat and floor just in case I got hungry,” they wrote.
“Then gave me a cotton candy machine in my trunk -_-“
Commenters on the Reddit thread were appalled, with one writing: “What the hell?! That pisses me off.”
The Celeb Report reached out to MTV for coment.
Pimp My Ride is returning to our screens here in the UK.
The rebooted version of Pimp My Ride UK is not set to be hosted by rap legend Lady Leshurr.
It will air on MTV UK’s YouTube channel, kicking off on August 19.
Staying true to the original format of the show, the series will carry out jaw-dropping car transformations at the autoshop, Wrench Studios.
They will also be partnering with eBay, who will supply car parts and accessories.
Speaking about her brand new role, Lady Leshurr said: “I’m so happy to be a part of this new series of Pimp My Ride!
“The original series was such a big part of my childhood, so I’m happy to be involved in such a legendary show that was a big part of my life growing up.
“Get ready to see some of the craziest makeovers ever, with a bunch of heartfelt stories along the way.”
The re-vamped version of the show has one huge change – the host.
Former UK presenter, Tim Westwood, won’t be the face of the show this time, with the show instead hosted by rapper and TV personality Lady Leshurr – real name Melesha Katrina O’Garro.
It comes after DJ Westwood – who hosted the UK version of the show from 2005 to 2007 – was recently accused of sexual misconduct and having sex with a 14-year-old.
He denies the allegations and London Metropolitan Police say they are looking into them.
Westwood has also been accused of unwanted sexual behaviour and touching, rising from incidents which were alleged to have taken place between the years of 1990 and 2020.
In April 2022, three women spoke up, accusing the DJ of opportunistic and predatory sexual behaviour, whilst four others claim they were also groped by the DJ at events.
Tim has strongly denied allegations made against him, and a representative released a statement at the time.
They said: “Tim Westwood strongly denies all allegations of inappropriate behaviour.
“In a career that has spanned 40 years, there have never been any complaints made against him officially or unofficially.
“Tim Westwood strongly rejects all allegations of wrongdoing.”
