It follows bosses deciding to pull the plug on the show earlier this year, which would have made the upcoming series the last – but now it appears they have had a change of heart.

A source revealed to The Celeb Report: “While MTV denied cancelling the show, it was an open secret that the next series would be the show’s last as bosses felt like the series had run its course, especially as most of the cast are now married with kids.

“They have had a huge U-turn however because the episodes they have been filming in recent months have been so explosive, it’s reignited the show and made the bigwigs realise there is plenty more life in the franchise yet.”

They added: “Contracts still need to be signed and there have been issues with various cast members falling out, but producers are confident that they can get everyone back.

“They are going full steam ahead and planning to start shooting again later this year.”

The Celeb Report has contacted MTV for comment.

Reality favourites including Charlotte Crosby, Chloe Ferry and Sophie Kasaei returned to filming in Cyprus earlier this year, but things got so bad that Charlotte flew home early and quit the show.

Last month we revealed that tensions had reached boiling point between Charlotte and co-star Marnie Simpson.

A source exclusively told The Celeb Report: “The fall out started in the villa, and after Charlotte flew home early it’s only got worse.

“Friends have tried to intervene but they’ve now unfollowed each other.

“They’re both fuming – it started out over petty rows in the villa, now it’s boiled over into a proper feud.”

The ex-pals have been close for years, with Charlotte attending Marnie’s wedding to Casey Simpson in March.

The row threw filming into chaos as the cast took sides.

The source told us at the time: “All hell has broken loose in Cyprus and there have been more arguments than the show has ever seen – and that’s saying something.

“It’s not exaggerating to say it’s the most dramatic series yet.

“There is basically a big divide in the cast now – they have been split in two as they have taken sides over a huge argument that broke out.

” It’s been really awkward and uncomfortable, but it’s going to make dynamite telly.”
