Charlene White looks terrified after she fell off the plank in the first trial of the series
The Walk The Plank trial is a fan favourite amongst viewers of the ITV reality show, but it has been renamed The Ledge on this year’s series.
The challenge puts the fears of the celebs to their limits right at the start of what will be a challenging few weeks in the jungle.
The infamous height test has been absent from the I’m A Celeb screens as the series was forced to relocate to Wales during the pandemic.
But the feared trail has made a glorious comeback for the first series to be set in Australia for two years as filming commenced for the show.
The celebs were strapped into harnesses as they were suspended on top of a 32-storey building as conditions were hampered by strong winds.
Lioness Jill Scott, 35, and Newsreader and Loose Women anchor Charlene White, 42, took the terrifying plunge as they were seen suspended in mid-air.
This comes as The Celeb Report revealed Gogglebox star Babatunde Aleshe dramatically pulled out of the vertigo-inducing challenge after a full 45 minutes of deliberation.
As the stars were strapped into their harnesses, onlookers revealed how everyone looked nervous.
But as Charlene and Jill calmly walked out to the tip of the plank – Babetunde was left standing with his head in his hands.
An onlooker said: “Babetunde was really struggling during The Ledge, and everyone felt for him.
“It truly is a terrifying task and no one can grasp the scale of it until you are there.
“Jill and Charlene were being really encouraging of Babetunde but to no avail.

This year, the show has been purposely brought forward to allow room in the schedules for the World Cup later in the month.
As part of this year’s bumper show, the format features new trials and big twists and will see half of the stars abandoned on a desert island before going into camp.
I’m A Celebrity starts this Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
