I’M A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here fans are getting a real treat with an All Stars spin off show.
Called I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, this brand new series brings together nine past jungle legends and is even taking place in a different camp.
Meet the I’m A Celebrity… All Stars cast: (L-R) Shaun Ryder, Helen Flanagan, Phil Tufnell, Jordan Banjo, Carol Vorderman, Paul Burrell, Amir Khan, Janice Dickinson and Fatima Whitbread
Who is taking part in I’m A Celebrity… South Africa?
Back in May 2022, Ant and Dec confirmed they would be doing an All Stars spin-off of I’m A Celebrity.
Unlike the the original version of the show, this new series has already been pre-recorded, and was actually filmed in November 2022.
Also, instead of heading Down Under the show was filmed in Kruger National Park, South Africa where, ironically, the Aussie version of the show is shot.
The show will kick off at the end of April 2023 with nine former I’m A Celebrity stars taking part.
Helen Flanagan
Helen finished in seventh place in 2012
Helen Flanagan first appeared on I’m A Celeb back in 2012, where she finished in seventh place.
The actress is best known for her role as Rosie Webster on Coronation Street.
Helen is also a busy mum who has three children with her footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair.
On I’m A Celebrity she was voted to take part in the Bushtucker Trials seven times in a row – and left campers starving after walking away or failing to grab any stars.
What was her most iconic moment?
There are multiple “iconic moments” from Helen’s time in the jungle, but we’re going to steer clear of the trial failures and bikini showers.
Instead we’re choosing her epic fake tan fail.
Helen chose the tanning lotion as her luxury item – but applied it too liberally causing eventual winner Charlie Brooks to say she looked “ridiculous” and “like an oompa loompa”.
Where did she finish?
Helen was eliminated fifth, finishing 7th in 2012.
Jordan Banjo
Jordan Banjo was a popular campmate back in 2016
The Celeb Report revealed how Jordan Banjo was heading back to the I’m A Celebrity jungle for the All Stars special edition.
Jordan first shot to fame with dance troupe Diversity, led by his older brother Ashley, on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.
What was his most iconic moment?
During his time on the show, Jordan became very close to Gavin & Stacey star Larry Lamb, who Jordan said was “like a dad” to him.
Larry famously broke down in tears when Jordan was booted off the show.
Jordan will also be remembered for singing along to the Spice Girls at the top of his voice to help him get him through the Bushtucker Trial, Tomb of Torment.
Where did he finish?
In the 16th series — which was on our screens in 2016 — Jordan was the fourth celebrity to be voted out of the show.
This meant he placed ninth place on his series.
Carol Vorderman
Carol Vorderman will return to the jungle All Stars
Among Jordan’s campmates is Carol Vorderman, who appeared in the previous line-up with him in Australia.
She signed up to give the show another shot after featuring in season 16 alongside Jordan Banjo.
Carol shot to fame on Countdown and has since become an Instagram sensation, with her constant stream of sexy selfies.
A source told The Celeb Report: “Carol was always top of producers’ wishlist; in some ways she was the perfect campmate.
“She was funny, outspoken and intelligent and let’s just say she gave the younger girls a run for their money in the jungle shower.
“Her flirtations with Joel [Dommett] were one of the big talking points of the series so signing up Carol for All Stars looks like a no brainer.”
What was her most iconic moment?
Carol was VERY popular with viewers when it came to the jungle shower.
The TV star also is remembered for taking on one of the dreaded eating trials with Scarlett Moffatt – who went on to win the series.
In the trial – which was called Big Bush Tucker Bake Off – Carol had to eat turkey testicles.
Where did she finish?
She eventually ended up being eliminated fifth in 2016, right after Jordan, so she came in eighth place.
Amir Khan
Amir Khan was a big hit on I’m A Celebrity back in 2017
Boxing Champ Amir Khan is part of the VIP line up
Revealing the news to fans he said: “I’ve been asked to do a very, very big show.
“I can’t give the name to you. But I’ll give you a clue; I’ve been on it before!
“I think it’ll be brilliant. I think people get to see another side of me and it would be nice to do something like that.
“Now that I’ve got time I can do it. Before I couldn’t.”
Amir shot to fame as a boxer, but in 2022 hung up his gloves for good.
What was his most iconic moment?
He first appeared on the show back in 2017 with Georgia Toffolo, where he had viewers in stitches with his hapless behaviour.
But Amir’s most iconic moment has to be when he famously stole some strawberries from camp.
After winning a Dingo Dollar Challenge prize of strawberries and cream, Amir and Ian Lee decided to eat the delicious treat, instead of taking to back to camp.
This did not go down well with the hungry campmates
Where did he finish?
Amir eventually came in fifth place – just missing out on taking part in the Celebrity Cyclone.
Paul Burrell
Paul Burrell appeared on the first ever series of I’m A Celeb
The Celeb Report was first to report how ex-royal butler Paul Burrell was taking part.
Princess Di’s right hand man appeared on the show back in 2004.
A TV insider said: “His bizarre facial expressions during the Bushtucker Challenge have gone down in the jungle’s history books.
“Only Dean Gaffney could compete with those kinds of hysterics — and that really is saying something.”
What was his most iconic moment?
Few can forget Paul’s meltdown as he gurned his way through the Bushtucker Trials, when he tried to grab meal tokens from inside holes filled with rats and bugs.
Where did he finish?
He eventually placed second, losing out to Joe Pasquale who was crowned winner in 2004.
Phil Tufnell
Phil Tufnell appeared on I’m A Celebrity way back in 2003
Cricketing legend Phil Tufnell also makes a jungle return.
Following his retirement from playing cricket in 2002, he has appeared on many TV shows including They Think It’s All Over, Celebrity Deal Or No Deal, A Question of Sport, and Strictly Come Dancing.
What was his most iconic moment?
Although he brought the laughs to camp, Phil will always be remembered for his constant complaints at being “bored”.
Where did he finish?
The popular campmate scooped the crown back in 2003.
Shaun Ryder
Shaun Ryder was great fun in the jungle in 2010
Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder will bring the laughs in the All Stars show.
The star made his return to reality TV in Celebrity Gogglebox.
What was his most iconic moment?
Shaun became an unlikely national treasure and famously braved a snake bite, describing it as “like putting your hand through sheet glass”.
Where did he finish?
Shaun was runner-up to Stacey Solomon in 2010.
Fatima Whitbread
Fatima Whitbread was a popular campmate
Fatima Whitbread is an Olympic athlete who took part in the eleventh season of I’m a Celeb.
Fatima is no stranger to endurance shows, and in September 2022 she took part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
What was her most iconic moment?
In one of the most memorable moments ever in the history of the show, a cockroach ended up getting stuck up the former professional athlete’s nose, with Fatima requiring help to flush the creepy crawly out from her nostril.
While being interviewed for I’m A Celebrity… A Jungle Story, Fatima said she could “feel the furry little legs” of the cockroach up her nose.
Where did she finish?
During her time in the jungle, she proved popular with the viewers and the public and placed third in the 2011 series.
Janice Dickinson
Janice Dickinson was a controversial campmate
Janice shot to fame in the 70s as the world’s first supermodel.
A TV insider told The Celeb Report: “Although she really stirred things up, she was also hugely popular with the viewers at home, who loved the fact that she kept everyone on their toes.
“That’s why she finished second behind that year’s King of the Jungle, Christopher Biggins.”
What was her most iconic moment?
Few fans could forget Janice Dickinson‘s time in Australia when she caused a string of bust-ups with her unfiltered points of view about campmates.
Where did she finish?
Despite being a controversial campmate, Janice came second in 2007.
