IT IS set to be one happy camp tonight on I’m A Celebrity, when show bosses bring back the legendary pub task.
The move comes just THREE days before the Welsh booze ban comes into force.
This year the celebrities are holed up in castle in North Wales, instead of the Aussie jungle.
This of course means they must abide my Welsh laws.
From Friday, pubs, restaurants and cafes will be banned from serving alcohol and will be unable to open to customers beyond 6pm.
First Minister Mark Drakeford announced the new rules to tackle a rise in coronavirus cases.
But on this evening’s show, campmates will get the chance to sip on a bevvie or two.
Tonight viewers will see the return of the popular Jungle Arms which has been renamed The Castle Inn this year.
The celebrities will experience a Christmas themed tavern with pub grub – which of course includes pie and chips.
We are told that Jordan North will even get to have some of his beloved Guinness.
We’ll also hear the celebrities take to the karaoke stand as they sing some classic songs including a group rendition of Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas.
Meanwhile, last night Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire became the latest celebs to be voted off the show in a shock double eviction.
This morning, during a chat with ITV’s Lorraine, Bev admitted that she “wanted to die” when she realised the show had aired her crude nickname for her husband.
The 63-year-old star looked mortified when the comment aired during her Castle Highlights after she was voted off the show.
During her time in I’m A Celeb, Beverley raised eyebrows when she told her campmates that she calls her partner Jon McEwan “mega shag”, with tickled hosts Ant and Dec repeatedly mentioning it on air ever since.
But Beverley now insists that she didn’t think viewers would have seen the clip.
She looked sheepish as the presenter said: “We talked to your lovely husband yesterday and I think he’s quietly very happy of his nickname, he’s quite enjoying the attention.”
Beverley replied: “I can’t believe they aired that.
“I just thought they were quite bad words so they’ll edit that, when Ant and Dec played the clip for me last night I wanted to die.”
She repeated: “I wanted to die.”
Lorraine giggled as she brushed off Beverley’s embarrassment, insisting: “It was funny, it was a laugh – as he said himself, it could have been a lot worse.”
Beverley made the shocking revelation in camp last week, telling her fellow contestants: “Jon’s very handsome, he’s a mega shag.
“He is a mega shag and he dances for me in the kitchen every morning and makes me laugh my socks off.”
She added: “He’s gorgeous!”
The actress has been happily married to recording studio owner Jon for the last ten years.
He is the star’s fourth husband, with Bev married to Paul Atkinson between 1974 and 1977, David Sowden between 1980 and 1988, and Steve Callard from 1989 until 2001.
Beverley has two children, 45-year-old Rebecca and 31-year-old Joshua.
