THE latest series of the Weekender franchise recently returned to screens, but this time in Kavos, Greece, for the first time ever.
The move from the Balearic Island after seven series to the new location was seen as a bid to shake up and breathe new life into the long running franchise.
Kavos Weekender star Ethan has spilled some behind-the-scenes filming secrets
The star was auditioning for Love Island before he landed his role on Weekender
And it has meant the introduction of new reps too – including Ethan Aveiro, who has shared some behind-the-scenes rules from the reality TV show.
Ethan, who had been auditioning for Love Island before securing his spot on Weekender, admits that despite the fun nature of the show, there are drinks limits.
He told The Celeb Report: “There was a drinking limit. With welfare and all of that recently you had drinks limits that would be then increased as the duration of the show went on. I’d have four magnums before I’d go on a night out normally, and like a bit of drink to get me going.
“But yeah there was a drinking limit. There were only one or two times that I felt a bit like ‘oh hello’ I was never drunk, drunk on any part of the series really.”
Despite enjoying a drink or two, Ethan said he tended to keep out of drama but that didn’t stop the producers from encouraging the reps to get involved.
Ethan, who already has a string of reality star pals, revealed: “Producers would pull you aside and say things like ‘go and egg him on,’ or ‘go and stir the pot’ or ‘throw him under it or put him in the situation’ and I said well you don’t need to tell me twice.”
When they weren’t going out or getting involve in drama, model Ethan said the rest of the reps would enjoy naps between filming, but he preferred to keep active.
“In between filming everyone was allowed to nap but I didn’t want that, I wanted to do something fun. We’d played pranks on each other a lot too.”
Pranks aside, one thing the cameras weren’t fond of was Ethan’s penchant for being nude and he was told to put his clothes on, on several occasions.
When asked if he was conscious about being filmed, Ethan shared: “In my opinion, well, I got told off two or three times for having my arse out in the room.
“I forgot the cameras were even on at that point. It wasn’t shown on TV but that would’ve been a treat for everyone.”
The new series comprises of ten episodes of fun and frolics, and it’s already under way.
An ITV release teasing the new direction said: “The programme guarantees the ups and downs, romances and tongue-in-cheek adventures of a holiday in one of the nation’s favourite holiday hotspots.”
Satmohan Panesar, Commissioning Editor, Factual Entertainment added: “We’ve missed the high jinks of our reps and holidaymakers – Kavos is the perfect destination to get back to the party.”
