ITV in schedule shake-up as favourite shows moved for FA Cup clash

TV line-ups got a shake-up today after the main channels were both taken over by FA Cup football.

BBC One aired a clash between Brighton and Grimsby Town while ITV1 has the later match between Manchester United and Fulham.

Celebrity Lingo has aired hours earlier today because of football

It has meant a re-jig of the ITV schedule, with RuPaul’s Celebrity Lingo, which usually airs at 5pm, shunted out of its slot and moved to 2.15pm.

It will be followed by an episode of the recently-axed bloopers show You’ve Been Framed! before coverage from the sixth round of the FA Cup comes live from Old Trafford.

That blocks out the schedule for the next three hours – from 3.45pm until 6.45pm.

With no Dancing on Ice after the show wrapped up last week, episodes of The Chase Celebrity Special will air in its place at 7pm, after the news.

Jayde Adams, Tony Cottee, Naughty Boy and the Vivienne will compete for charity cash in Bradley Walsh’s quiz.

At 8pm a new series of Grace, John Simm’s Brighton detective series, will air tonight, after the end of Endeavour last week.

Live sport has caused many of ITV’s biggest shows to be delayed or cancelled in recent days.

Last week, coverage of the horseracing at Cheltenham Festival meant Loose Women being taken off air.

And Six Nations rugby last night meant the live broadcast of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway was pushed back by a quarter of an hour.
