JAMAL Edwards hailed his mum Brenda as his “inspiration” in his final TV appearance with her.
The 31-year-old tragically died yesterday after a sudden illness.
It comes just months after he appeared on Loose Women with the proud presenter who has been left devastated by her “unimaginable loss”.
As he sat down to the face the Loose Women in November, Brenda told him: “Give me a kiss”.
The mum-of-two then took a backseat as she let the focus stay on Jamal who spoke about what it was like being on the panel.
Jamal said: “It’s a good feeling. I obviously watch her on the show, but it’s good to be here and experience it in the flesh.”
He then opened up about how his mother influenced his career – and responded to claims Brenda experienced “working mum guilt”.
“My mum’s work ethic inspired me,” said Jamal.
“My mates know I work extremely hard and that’s what I get from my mum.
“So there’s no need to feel guilty about it.
“She was quite tough, but it was tough love and I respect that.
“I’ve shown you tough love back. Remember when you didn’t want to be on social media and I made you do it. Now you embrace it.”
Entrepreneur Jamal gained fame from setting up the new music platform, which helped to launch a string of UK music careers including Dave and Jessie J.
The SBTV founder was awarded an MBE for his services to music.
His manager confirmed that Edwards died on Sunday morning – but a cause of death has not been released other than he suffered a “sudden illness”.
Tributes to Edwards have flooded social media with many expressing their condolences to his mother, Loose Women panelist Brenda Edwards, who finished fourth in the second series of the X Factor in 2005.
