JESY Nelson has confessed that she is no longer on speaking terms with her former Little Mix bandmates.
In an exclusive interview on the Graham Norton show, Nelson admitted she doesn’t speak to Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade since pursuing a solo career.
The 30-year-old singer will be appearing on the BBC One show alongside Tinie Tempah, Bruce Springsteen and former US president Barack Obama.
Jesy will be performing her new single, Boyz, in the studio before joining Graham Norton on the couch.
Nelson’s interview of the long-running chat show was filmed yesterday saw the star discussing her fears of performing solo for the first time.
“It was really scary,” she admitted, opening up about her first-ever TV appearance, set to air tonight.
She also revealed her reasoning behind choosing rap megastar, P. Diddy to appear in her music video: “From the moment I wrote the song I knew I wanted him in it.”
“He heard the song and loved it and then said he would be in the video. I feel like he definitely thought I was in the Spice Girls!”
Jesy opened up to Graham about her falling-out with her former Little Mix bandmates, admitting: “We’re not talking any more. It is sad but honestly, there is no bad blood from my side, and I still love them to pieces and genuinely wish them all the best.”
“I loved my time with them, and we’ve got the most incredible memories together but It’s just one of those things which needs to take time, so who knows. To me, they are still the ‘sickest’ girl band in the world.”
Asked about what is next for her, she says, “An album hopefully next year. I’m still in the writing process and I don’t want to rush things.”.
The Celeb Report previously revealed that Jesy’s team are begging her to stay offline to avoid the recent rise in trolling that she’s faced.
Jesy has only been briefly logging online to share fan videos to her music before logging out due to her past struggles with online abuse.
She quit Little Mix in December 2020, revealing that nine years in the band “took a toll on her mental health”.
“I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
“You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.
“The truth is, recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.”
Jesy added: “I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy.
“I’m ready to embark on a new chapter in my life – I’m not sure what it’s going to look like right now, but I hope you’ll still be there to support me.”
Following her departure, Nelson has been embroiled in multiple controversies, including a blackfishing row that has occurred as a result of the music video.
Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thrilwall have all publicly remained quiet about the song and the fallout – but it’s been claimed in “leaked DMs” that Leigh-Anne had spurred an influencer on to discuss the blackfishing issue.
The drama had pulled her into a fight with her former bandmates, with collaborator Nicki Minaj branding them “clowns” during an Instagram Live.
Insiders at the MailOnline had revealed that Jesy had blasted the spat, admitting “The last thing she wanted was to be embroiled in a Little Mix vs Jesy feud.
