Loose Women set collapses live on air and nearly hits Ronan Keating’s wife as panel gasp in horror

LOOSE Women’s stars gasped in horror today when part of the set collapsed live on air.

A large panel came loose behind the newest panellist, Ronan Keating’s wife Storm, 39, but fortunately did not hit her.

However, she was seen looking shocked as the piece of set dressing fell behind her socially-distanced seat but was stopped by another wall.

Coleen Nolan, 56, was discussing her childhood sweetheart when a large panel came loose and fell with a large bang – prompting gasps from the stars.

Host Charlene White, 41, took charge, telling Storm: “That’s just part of the set. It’s not normally a health and safety nightmare like this.”

Coleen added sarcastically: “I’m not being funny but the budget for this show is off the scale.”

Gesturing towards the piece of framed plastic she added: “Just ignore that.”

Charlene said: “The sticky-backed plastic’s not working. Someone’s going to secretly go backstage and pick that up.”

Two men were later shown coming onto the set with a yellow ladder with BBC stamped on the side and a roll of gaffer tape.

Charlene joked that Storm thought her husband Ronan was trying to storm the set to stop her from discussing her childhood sweetheart.

She added, referring to the workmen who taped the set back together: “A huge thank you to Darren and the team for fixing it.”
