Nadia Sawalha Stands Up for Holly Willoughby
Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has come to the defense of Holly Willoughby after Phillip Schofield labeled her a "witch" and held her accountable for his departure from This Morning.
Phillip, 62, left ITV last year after confessing to lying about an affair with a younger male colleague. Despite his televised redemption efforts on Channel 5's Cast Away, where he spent nine nights on a deserted island, he still pointed fingers at Holly for his downfall.
In response to Phillip's accusations, Nadia criticized his behavior, expressing her frustration at women being unjustly blamed for others' mistakes. She emphasized the tough year Holly has had and rejected the notion that she was responsible for Phillip's actions.
Holly's Response
Holly Willoughby, on the other hand, brushed off Phillip's criticism and maintained her composure. Sources close to the TV presenter revealed that she is unfazed by Phillip's remarks and is focusing on those who truly support her.
Despite the public backlash, Holly has chosen not to engage in a war of words with her former colleague.
Cancer Campaign Advocacy
Meanwhile, Nadia Sawalha has shifted her attention to a vital campaign aimed at securing access to a life-extending drug for women with incurable cancer. The drug, Enhertu, which is available in 25 countries, including Scotland, has been denied approval for NHS use due to its high cost.
Nadia's close friend, Hannah Gardner, is currently benefiting from Enhertu through a clinical trial. The campaign, supported by Nadia, aims to raise funds to contest the decision by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and ensure access to the drug for those in need.
The group has raised £45,000 towards their goal, highlighting the urgency of the situation and the need for legal intervention to challenge NICE's ruling.
