LOVE Island is set to be rocked with a huge twist today as the contestants’ parents enter the villa.
The couples will get to meet their partners’ family in a special episode due to air on Sunday before the explosive season finale.
One parent has admitted they have made their way to Majorca, following their daughter’s shock exit.
Liberty Poole’s mum Jo wrote: “Seeing Lib so upset last night has broken my heart. I’m feeling her pain.
“She’s about to get the biggest cuddle of her life! I’m on my way.”
A source told The Celeb Report: “It’s always the most tense day of the series and Millie and Teddy’s parents will have seen a lot on TV that their kids don’t know about.
“In fact, all of the friends and family will have outsider gossip to tell the cast, so a lot of them should be very nervous – Jake included.”
They added: “The plan is to fly out the families to Spain if they’re double jabbed and happy to travel within the rules.
“Then there will be a socially-distanced meeting – and there will be fireworks.”
The parents’ special episode has been a fixture of the show for years and usually airs in the final week of Love Island.
Last night, viewers saw Liberty ending her seven-week long romance, crying and telling Jake that she doesn’t think they’re right for each other.
She told him: “I feel like I can’t do anything, I am messy, I do wear big heels, I do wear big eyelashes, I do wear red lipstick, and I don’t feel like I can do that in here.
“I just want to be with someone who loves me for me, the big heels, eyelashes, everything.”
Jake was left struggling for words but insisted: “I’ve never said I wanted you to change” protesting: “You see things differently to how I see things.”
Liberty replied: “But then that shows we’re not right for each other.”
The couple’s departure means the title is likely to be contested by the two remaining favourites – Liam Reardon and Millie Court and Toby Aromolaran and Chloe Burrows.
