Love Island star Millie Court recently shared her frightening experience of being stung by a jellyfish while swimming in the sea during her trip to Australia with boyfriend Liam Reardon. The 28-year-old was swept up by a massive wave, leading to the unexpected encounter with the jellyfish.
Ignoring warning signs
Despite warning signs on the beach cautioning about bluebottles, Millie admitted to 'ignoring' them before entering the water. She described the intense moment when she found the jellyfish wrapped around her neck and stomach after being hit by a wave, causing her to scream in alarm.
Aftermath of the sting
Millie shared video footage of the jellyfish and the rash it caused on her arm, showcasing the aftermath of the incident. Lifeguards advised her to have a hot shower and provided ice to numb the itching, which lasted for around 30 minutes to an hour before subsiding.

Spending Christmas and New Year in Sydney, Millie, Liam, and her best friend Chloe Burrows from Love Island enjoyed a beach day with friends. Despite the jellyfish encounter, Millie shared a festive snap from the beach, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Australia.
