After seven weeks together, the 21 year old waitress told water engineer Jake, 24, from Weston-Super-Mare that they weren’t right for each other and she wanted to leave.

West End star Samira Mighty left the villa in 2018.

She was in friendship couples with Dr Alex George and Sam Bird, until rugby player Frankie Lewis walked in.

However, Frankie was dumped from the villa leaving Samira heartbroken.

Coventry-born Niall Aslam quit the villa off-screen in 2018 and Dr Alex broke the news to their fellow islanders.

He said: “For far too long I have suffered in silence and not acknowledged a massive fact about my life which going into the villa has led me to finally realise and accept.

“I would just like to thank the team at ITV for always backing me and giving me the opportunity to rid my myself of my insecurities and embrace the fact that Iam different yet I am still a rainbow fish. I can’t explain how grateful I am for the support from the whole team over this period.”

Sophie realised her heart was with Tom and left the villa

The 2016 contestant decided to stay in the villa after her love interest Tom Powell was dumped from the villa.

Sophie recoupled with a new girl Katie Salmon and was the first same-sex pairing on the show.

However, Sophie realised her heart was with Tom and left the villa, as she said: “Guys, I’m going to go. I’ve been feeling like this for a while. Now, I think my time is done.”

Sophie sadly died in June 2018 with her boyfriend Aaron Armstrong passing away just 20 days later.

Heartbroken to see Curtis move on with Maura Higgins, Amy decided to leave the villa

Amy was happily coupled up with dancer Curtis Pritchard for four weeks in the villa in 2019.

However, they hit the rocks after Casa Amor when Curtis told Amy something was missing, while Amy was preparing to tell him she loved him.

Heartbroken to see Curtis move on with Maura Higgins, Amy decided to leave the villa.

Before she left, Amy told Curtis: “All I’ve ever wanted is for you to be happy and you’re not going to be able to be happy if I’m still here.”

Same and Georgia has a decision to make

Georgia and Sam had a turbulent time on Love Island in 2018.

Rated as the least popular couple by the public, Caroline Flack gave them an ultimatum to split up and continue they’re journey separately or leave together.

They decided to part ways and recouple.

However, they were both unhappy after the recoupling and chose to leave the villa.

This year’s the prize money of is still all to play for between Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Millie Court and Liam Reardon, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares and Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshan.
