Love Island’s Dr Alex George surprises his dad with £45k Land Rover Defender

LOVE Island’s Dr Alex George surprised his dad with a £45k Land Rover Defender today – and fans loved the gesture.

Unfortunately, it’s not a permanent deal – the car has to be returned in a week – but the sentiment behind it was still the same.

Posing beside the stunning 4×4 for an Instagram picture, Alex wrote: “Surprised Dad to a @landrover defender for the week

Love you so much you deserve the world, sorry its only for a week

Enjoy xx.”

His dad Anthony looked chuffed with the surprise as he smiled beside his son.

It’s been a tough year for the family after Alex’s brother took his own life following a battle with his mental health.

Alex recently got a tattoo tribute to Llyr and is also serving as the UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador.

Last month Alex hit back at cruel fat shamers after uploading a topless selfie of himself on social media.

The one-time reality star, who serves as the UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador, ignored the critics as he stripped topless for a mirror selfie at the gym.

Defiantly, Alex penned that he is “not ashamed anymore” over how his physique has changed since appearing on Love Island with a six-pack.

He wrote alongside the snap: “Movement is for everybody. Fat shaming and weight stigma can be such a barrier to exercise.

“Over the years, I have felt embarrassed and nervous to train in the gym when I’m bigger.

“I am not ashamed anymore. Don’t forget that you deserve to be in that gym as much as anyone else.

“If people judge you for how you look that says far more about them than you. I know who I would rather be friends with.”
