Love Island alum Laura Anderson recently gave birth to a baby girl named Bonnie. However, she has now revealed the challenging details of her birth experience. Speaking candidly, Laura shared that she suffered a vaginal tear and postpartum hemorrhage during the delivery, which was attended by her partner, actor Gary Lucy.
A Painful Journey
In a detailed Instagram Stories video, Laura discussed the ups and downs she faced in the lead-up to her daughter's arrival. She underwent several medical procedures and endured excruciating contractions, feeling that her pain was not taken seriously. Eventually, she reached a delivery room where she began bleeding, causing concern for her loved ones.
Relief and Joy
Despite the challenges, Laura eventually received an epidural and successfully delivered her baby. She fondly recalled the moment when Bonnie cried for the first time and interacted with her. However, the difficult journey didn't end there, as Laura experienced an "awful" postpartum hemorrhage five hours after giving birth.
Recovering and Reflecting
Laura explained that she lost 1.6 liters of blood and required medical intervention to recover. She shared her gratitude for the support she received during the ordeal and emphasized that despite the difficulties, she would do it all again. In the end, Laura reassured her followers that she, Gary, and baby Bonnie are now "surviving and thriving."
