The pair faced an agonising four-day wait in isolation to find out if Liam had contracted the deadly bug, after he was allowed to take a second test.

Millie, 24, confirmed he received a negative test today.

She wrote on Instagram: “So we got some good news this morning. Liam‘s PCR came back with a negative woo.

“I’ve had a lot of questions about the process of the testing out here in Dubai so…

“We were supposed to be flying to the Maldives three days after Dubai, so we had to do a PCR here on a Thursday and that’s when his results came back ‘presumptive positive’.

“Because it wasn’t a clear result the DHA told us we could re-test 72 hours later to get another result which led to today and us being free to enjoy the rest of our holiday.

“Thank you to everyone who sent us lovely messages and those asking about Liam and if he was feeling well. We are all good and we hope everyone else is well and enjoying their start to 2022”

The couple celebrated their freedom with a trip to the dessert this morning where they drove quad bikes and traversed the sand dunes on mini sleighs.

In August, Millie and Liam beat fellow finalists Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran to win the ITV2 show’s £50,000 prize money.

Millie is now set to become a millionaire after signing up to be the global face of online fashion giant ASOS.

It’s thought to be the biggest deal a Love Island contestant has signed since appearing on the programme.

A source said: “Millie has taken her time to have the pick of the deals offered to her after winning the show.

“She’s delighted to have signed with ASOS and is going to make a fortune from doing so. It’s win-win for everyone.”
