MARRIED At First Sight star Amy Christophers has revealed she’s moved on from her ex-husband Joshua Christie – with a hunky lookalike.
The 35-year-old is smitten with firefighter Leon McKenzie, 38, after the pair matched on Hinge.
And in a bizarre twist of events, Amy was told about meeting Leon by a psychic in 2020.
In an exclusive interview with The Celeb Report, Amy said: “The universe has delivered when I least expected it and I couldn’t be happier.
“Leon is spiritual and really romantic. He ticks every box on my huge list of requirements and he’s even soppier than me.
“I went on TV to find the man of my dreams and it turns out all I had to do was go on a dating app!
“But everything happens for a reason. I’m a stronger person after getting through that experience and now I’m just looking forward to the future.”
Last year former glamour model Amy signed up to marry a stranger on TV after suffering a secret family tragedy.
Her fiance suddenly walked out on her in 2018 – and Amy was devastated when she lost twin babies soon after falling pregnant.
In 2020 she visited a psychic to help predict whether she’d ever be married and have babies – and now realises they were talking about her new man Leon.
Today she posted a snap of Leon on her Instagram for the first time as she joked: “For lent I’m giving up the single life.”
Amy told us: “The medium said the man for me would turn up on our first date and I’d think he was fit and like everything about him – but I would HATE his brown shoes.
“And that’s exactly what happened. He turned up in these ugly brown shows that didn’t go with the outfit. He’s a size 14 and a half though, so I guess there isn’t many shoe options.”
Amy was left heartbroken when her marriage to ex Joshua lasted just 25 days after the cameras switched off – despite choosing to renew their vows.
Amy, 35, broke down in tears at the Reunion show as she explained Josh’s “lack of effort” was the cause of their break up.
At the time she admitted letting her emotions get the better of her amid “pressure” to make her marriage work.
But now it appears she’s upgraded from her ex – who disappeared from the limelight after Married At First Sight ended.
Amy said of the experience previously: “As soon as I pressed send on that application I was committed to this. After all the s*** I had been through I wanted my happily ever after.
“I went into this experiment with such high expectations because I fully believed this was my time and this would be my forever person.
“And I guess at times I put way too much pressure on myself and Josh for it to work in there and at times I let my emotions get the better of me from things unaired where you just saw my reactions.
“It’s made for hard viewing at times and I didn’t recognise myself in those moments, but I just know how much I cared.
“I was just a girl waning someone to see them, hear them and love them.
“When I’m in, I’m all in and want the same back.”
