MasterChef viewers are horrified by contestant’s very unusual macaroni cheese

FANS of MasterChef were left utterly horrified at the way in which one hopeful chef prepared his macaroni cheese.

It was the crucial knockout stages of the BBC One contest but for Josh, from Stratford upon Avon, he left little to be desired from the ‘odd’ ingredient he opted to use in his dish.

The chefs were tasked with serving up a dish that would sit in pride of place in their very own restaurant or future cookbook.

Josh delighted John Torode when he confirmed that he would be serving up a macaroni cheese.

However, when Josh admitted he would be using both evaporated milk and cheese singles to achieve the perfect meal, fans online were left seriously appalled.

Josh told John and stand-in judge Monica Galetti: “So mac and cheese is my favourite food in the world.”

“It was the first dish I learned to cook.”

As Monica questioned him on just what exactly made his version so special, he confessed to using his unusual two ingrediants.

Monica seemed unsure as to his method as she told the cameras: “I’m really intrigued about the way he’s making his mac and cheese.

“Hopefully, it’s not going to be too dense and heavy.”

Fans at home could not wrap their heads around how Josh was prepping his food as they slammed him online.

One disgusted viewer wrote: “Evaporated milk? Fake plastic cheese? On Masterchef? [sick face emoji’s].”

Another added: “Bro on MasterChef just made mac and cheese with condensed milk and plastic cheese only. Should have been put in jail on his way out.”

A third said: “‘I really wanted them to like my macaroni cheese’ Perhaps you should have made it properly instead of using condensed milk and plastic cheese?”

While a fourth penned: “Evaporated milk & plastic cheese slices? Interesting…”

However, it seemed that Josh’s meal did not impress as the judges sent him packing from the contest.

This meant he missed out on the chance to cook in a professional kitchen on the programme.
