Daniel O'Donnell, the Irish singer and songwriter, has expressed his desire to appear on Coronation Street, one of the UK's most popular TV shows.
O'Donnell opened up about his aspirations in a recent interview with the Daily Star on Sunday. He revealed that he has always dreamed of featuring on the long-running soap, which he considers his favorite.
A New Character or a Cameo - Anything Will Do!
The renowned music star has even gone as far as to plead with ITV bosses to make his dream a reality. He expressed his willingness to take on any role, whether it be a singer or a cameo appearance.
O'Donnell added that he has always been a fan of Coronation Street and has even had the opportunity to meet some of the cast members, including Charlie Lawson, who played the iconic character Jim McDonald.
Bob Dylan's Love for Corrie Inspires Hopes
O'Donnell is not the only famous musician to have professed their love for Coronation Street. American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan also revealed his fondness for the show and shared that he had binge-watched the entire series.
Coronation Street series producer Iain MacLeod was taken aback by the news and suggested that Dylan could be involved through an open mic night at the show's iconic pub, the Rovers Return.
Coronation Street Open to Musicians
Coronation Street has a history of featuring musicians in its episodes. In 2015, the late Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding appeared as Joni Preston in five episodes of the show.
With the show's track record of accommodating musicians, it seems possible that Daniel O'Donnell's dream of gracing the cobbles could become a reality.
