LOVE Island’s Cally Jane Beech has revealed how fate played a part in how she met her “soulmate”.
The series one star is head over heels for SAS: Who Dares Wins star DJ O’Neal after a whirlwind romance.
Cally Jane Beech is happier than ever after finding her ‘soulmate’
She’s now found love with DJ O’Neal
The couple have been together for nine months
She’s now moved 150 miles from Hull to Milton Keynes to live with DJ close to where he grew up.
Speaking for the first time about how they met five years before getting together, Cally told The Celeb Report she had jetted off to Ibiza after a painful split from her Love Island ex Luis Morrison.
She was partying at Wayne Lineker’s famous Ocean Beach Club when she bumped into married DJ, who was there on his now brother-in-law’s stag do.
“It sounds like a fake story,” Cally laughed, speaking at the shoot of Getting Lippy, presented by Slingo.
“I remember seeing him and thinking ‘god he’s fit’.
“I started speaking to him but he told me straight away he was married.
“He seemed like a nice genuine guy so we kept on speaking and I was trying to get lad advice out of him.
“I was like ‘how do boys’ brains work?’ Then telling him what had happened to me.
“But that was it, we went our separate ways.”
Cally said she couldn’t shake the thought of DJ from her mind even years later.
“I would say to my mum and my friends, ‘there’s this one guy I met years ago in Ocean Beach and he was the husband vibe’.
“He obviously wasn’t my husband but that’s what I wanted in a man because I’d watched him being so respectful.
“Girls were coming up to him, because he’s a good looking guy, and he was telling them he was married.
“That’s what I wanted, especially because I’d just got cheated on and had come out of the worst relationship.”
Last year – five years on from their brief meeting in Ibiza – the pair locked eyes at a chance encounter at an event in London.
“It was like a fate meeting,” says Cally.
“We both recognised each other but couldn’t think where from, then it clicked and I thought ‘that’s my husband’.
“We’d both come out of relationships and it just went from zero to a thousand.
“I literally sold my house in a month and moved in wit him. It’s almost like we knew each other from that in depth conversation years ago.
“It’s the best thing that ever happened to me because he’s just a great guy.”
DJ – who is a dad-of-two – now lives with Cally and her six-year-old daughter Vienna.
We told yesterday how Cally is trying to make it as a singer-songwriter – eight years after finishing fourth on Love Island.
Cally’s happiness with DJ comes after heartache following the breakdown of her relationship with her relationship with Vienna’s dad, Luis.
The pair dated on and off for two years after finishing fourth in the show back in 2015.
They first split just ten weeks after Vienna was born when Cally accused him of being unfaithful.
