Mystery as I’m A Celeb winner Danny Miller begs fans for discounts and second business shuts down with £117k debt

Soap star Danny Miller has been going cap in hand looking for ‘mates’ rates’ for a bash after shutting down a second firm following his bumper I’m a Celeb win payday.

The Emmerdale star, 32, won I’m a Celebrity in 2021 when it was held in Gwrych Castle in Wales due to Covid restrictions Down Under.

The I’m A Celeb winner shut down his second firm

He picked up around £100,000 for his stint in the show and raked in tens of thousands of pounds more from lucrative ad deals, promotions and TV and media interviews.

But it was later revealed that his firm Cannon Professional Acting Company had been put into liquidation with £117,527 of debt.

The sum includes £36,990 in unpaid VAT, £29,691 in Corporation Tax, as well as £1,866 in National Insurance contributions.

A further almost £50,000 is owed to banks.

Now we can reveal that Danny, who played fan favourite Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale, has lost a second performing arts business registered on Companies House.

The business, Ganley Hannon Acting, was set up in March 2021.

But it was struck off in the summer by bosses at Companies House under the compulsory strike-off rules because Dany did not file paperwork on time.

This week the dad-of-one took to Twitter to try and find a venue for a Christening – and begged for a cheap deal.

Danny asked: “Anyone know of a venue for a last minute christening in Stockport? Suggestions welcome, mate rates encouraged.”

Ganley Hannon Acting Ltd was struck off two months after Danny was warned he must file papers relating to the company’s personnel.

He is listed as the firm’s sole director.

Firms must file an annual report confirming the make-up of the company – but the papers were not lodged and the strike-off was actioned.

Once a company has been struck off or dissolved, it is removed from the Companies House register and it cannot trade, sell assets, make payments or be involved in any other business activities.

Any cash and assets that have not been distributed before the company is dissolved are transferred to the Crown via ‘bona vacantia’.

To get those assets back, the company may need to go through the process of restoring the firm.

Emmerdale star Danny was crowned King of the Castle on the 2021 series of I’m A Celeb… Get Me Out Of Here.

Danny went on to snub the All-Star version of the show, after admitting he’s ‘relieved’ not to be taking part.

I’m A Celeb bosses have invited back legendary campmates for a pre-recorded version of the programme filmed in South Africa this year.
