She played the role of the highly sexed best friend of the main character Bill Porter, played by Belinda Lang.
Before this, she starred in the late night satirical Channel 4 comedy series, Who Dares Wins, where she played various different roles.
From 1997 she also played the role of Beryl in two series of the BBC sitcom Dad.
Fast-forward two decades as she’s still an acclaimed actress now and has worked extensively across both the stage and screen.
She played the role of Ruth in the National Tour of Calendar Girls The Musical after starring in the original West End Production.
Other roles include Dolly Bantry in national tour of The Mirror Crack’d, and roles in Shakespeare productions of Hamlet and All’s Well That Ends Well.
She’s also had roles in high-profile TV series such as Law & Order and Outnumbered.
The actress has also been a mainstay in the UK soap circuit, having had previous roles in Casualty, Doctors and has played the role Morag in EastEnders since 2018.
She was last in Casualty in the mid-noughties where she portrayed Caroline Joyner for two years.
In February 2022, she returned to the screen when she played the role of worried mother Susan Rutherford in Doctors.
Away from the screen and the boards, she’s married to Paul Clarkson, who also starred in the medical soap, as well as other high-profile shows such as Hollyoaks, The Bill and Crossroads.
Together, the pair share three children, two of which followed in the footsteps of their parents, actor Stewart Clarke and comedian Abi Clarke.
