VIEWERS of Open House: The Great Sex Experiment were left complaining after one couple failed to romp with another couple on the raunchy show.
Channel 4 has billed its raunchy new series its “most shocking show ever”, but fans watching the latest episode might disagree.
Across six episodes, poly-curious couples are invited to explore and indulge in their fantasies in a luxury stately home, with an expert on hand.
Intimacy therapist Dr Lori Beth provides them with support and advice on how to open their relationships safely and healthily.
One happy couple who wanted to open up their relationship was Liam and Stacey, who were looking for a third man to join their sex life.
“The idea of Stacey getting with a guy for me is a massive turn-on,” he told Lori.
“Obviously I’m very attracted to Stacey, so for me being able to see it, it’s almost like watching porn live.”
Liam was especially keen to watch Stacey have sex with another man, but began having second thoughts when she snogged a bunch of guys in a game during a social event.

“It was quite stressful for me,” he admitted.
“It was everything I wanted, but it wasn’t exactly how I envisioned it. Nobody knows how they’re going to feel until they’re in there.”
The couple then reevaluated their stance and decided they might be more comfortable to opening up their relationship to another couple.
They set their sights on Jay and his girlfriend Kelsie, after meeting them at a picnic where he pressed Liam on his thoughts on kissing a man.
Liam half went in on a kiss between Jay and Stacey, after telling Lori he did not want a threesome with a man so he could participate, only that it was for him to watch his girlfriend.
But when they invited them out later that night, things got very saucy when they played a game of pass the ice cube.
Each person had to pass the ice cube from their mouth into the next person’s, effectively giving them a snog to do it.
Jay and Liam exchanged a few kisses before the foursome retired to the latter’s room where they’d hoped things would escalate into some group horizontal tango.
But it wasn’t meant to be as the lads chatted about the gym, despite the girls getting flirty and stripping to their underwear.
They called it a night without any sex with a friendly goodbye with Kelsie later admitting “the vibe wasn’t there.”
Liam and Stacey managed to have some fun after the others left, but it was all under the duvet away from the cameras’ prying eyes.
Viewers watching at home were pretty disappointed with the lack of action on tonight’s episode.
“How was that ‘experimentation’? I’ve sat in a room with a couple at in a doctor’s surgery but I’d not refer to it as ‘experimental group sex’,” moaned one viewer on Twitter.
Another added: “Anti-climax…”
A third wrote: “Bit pointless this couple being on”
And a fourth commented: “Well that was disappointing!”
Stacey and Liam left the mansion with fans getting an update on their relationship after the experiment.
