End of a working relationship

Phillip Schofield has taken down pictures of himself and Holly Willoughby from his Instagram page, following their breakup in May. The split came after Schofield confessed to lying to Willoughby and show bosses about an affair with a younger male colleague.

An independent investigation

Willoughby is currently cooperating with an independent investigation into the scandal, while Schofield has removed all traces of her from his social media. Previously, his Instagram page had showcased photos of the former colleagues hosting This Morning and on holiday together.

A revealing move

A source told MailOnline: "The fact that Phil appears to have removed [the pictures] from his page is very telling about how he feels about Holly. He seems to have moved on for good now, and is trying to leave Holly behind."

Unfollowed on Instagram

Schofield recently unfollowed Willoughby on Instagram, before his name was removed from the National Television Awards. However, Willoughby continues to follow Schofield on social media.

Schofield speaks out

In his first interview since the scandal broke, Schofield explained that he has had no contact with Willoughby. He expressed regret, stating: "I've lost my best friend. I let her down (Holly). I let that entire show down. I let the viewers down."
