PIERS Morgan has claimed that ITV Boss Kevin Lygo called him “Voldermort” at a celebrity-packed event after his “divorce” from the TV network.
The former Good Morning Britain host took to his column in The Mail On Sunday to suggest the telly executive also made a crude hand signal in reference to him.
Piers, 56, detailed how he skipped out on the annual ITV Palooza party this year after “getting divorced from the ITV family” earlier this year.
The star sensationally walked out of a heated debate about his nemesis Meghan Markle before quitting Good Morning Britain for good.
His controversial comments about the Duchess of Sussex saw him in hot water before he battled to clear his name following a number of Ofcom complaints.
Piers has since also stepped back from his other ITV show – Piers Morgan’s Life Stories – which airs its final episode on Sunday evening.
Writing in his column, Piers explained that he “no longer attends” events hosted by the TV channel – including the celebrity-packed Palooza.
The presenter went on to claim that director of television Kevin Lygo referenced Piers in his speech at the event, calling him Harry Pottery villain Voldermort.
“Kevin Lygo – who oversaw my sudden departure from Good Morning Britain… gleefully stamped on my grave in his speech at the Festival Hall,” Piers wrote
“Referring to me as evil Harry Potter villain Voldermort, Lygo quipped: ‘He’s not here, is he? Of course he’s not here – he f***ing walked off, didn’t he?'”
Piers explained that the boss insisted they “missed Piers” as he “shook his head in violent contradiction” as he said it.
“Lygo then made a crude ‘w*****’ hand signal, to raucous laughter from an audience including Holly WIlloughby, Bear Grylls and Brian May,” he added.
The star said he considered complaining about the “derogatory attack” that he joked was “damaging to my mental health”.
“But my second thought, becuase I’m not a whiny, weak, woke wastrel, was to chuckle because it made me laugh,” he concluded.
Piers and ITV boss Kevin, 64, were last seen together as they both attended a cricket match in London in September.
The former GMB host sat behind ITV’s stony-faced chief just hours after their bitter spat over Meghan Markel’s Ofcom complaint.
