Long-Serving Cast Member Takes a Break from Filming
After a decade of being a mainstay on the hit ITV reality show, TOWIE, James Lock, popularly known as "Lockie," has decided to leave the series. According to reports, the star will not be appearing in the upcoming season, as he takes a well-deserved break from filming.
OG TOWIE Star Ready for a Breather
As one of the longest-running stars on TOWIE, James Lock felt it was time for some time off. A show insider revealed, "He was due a break as one of the OGs. He is still very much part of the TOWIE family." Although Lockie didn't film the current series due to his participation in Ex on the Beach, he will make a comeback when filming resumes.

Joining TOWIE in 2013, Lockie has been involved in several dramatic storylines over the years. From relationship dramas to cheating rumors and bust-ups with friends, the Essex businessman has always been in the middle of the action.

News broke that James Lock's ex-girlfriend, Yazmin Oukhellou, will also be joining the next series of Ex on the Beach. A source dished, "James always makes great TV so bosses were thrilled when he agreed to come back for another round. [...] it will certainly be interesting to see how he and Yaz get on."

In 2018, James and Yazmin temporarily left TOWIE to work on their relationship. However, the couple called it quits in 2019 after accusations of infidelity. They managed to reconcile but ultimately ended their relationship in 2021 following a heated argument in Dubai. Now, both stars will have a chance to confront their past on Ex on the Beach.
