Claire and Ricky had been friends for 25 years before their relationship took a romantic turn. The couple made their romance public after a holiday to Tenerife in May but have now chosen to part ways.

Prior to dating Claire, Ricky was in a relationship with beautician Angela Blemmings. Meanwhile, Claire had been single since her split from ex-Daniel Reilly in 2017. Claire, who portrays Cassie Plummer in Coronation Street, shares a son named Jaxon with her former partner.
