Loose Women star Ruth Langsford has given fans a health update after she was forced to take a break from the popular daytime talk show.
Bedridden with a mystery illness
Langsford, who is married to TV presenter Eamonn Holmes, has been absent from her hosting duties on ITV's Loose Women all week due to falling seriously ill.
Develops chest infection
Taking to Instagram, the 63-year-old revealed that her illness has now progressed to a chest infection. She shared a short clip of a steam vaporiser in action, and captioned it: "My 'lurgy' is actually a chest infection! So here I am on antibiotics and a steam vaporiser twice a day!"
Exploring various remedies
Langsford, determined to get better, posted a video of pouring herself a hot toddy and asked her followers for "any other remedies gratefully received!"
Bed rest and furry companion
The telly favourite posted a video of herself snuggling up in bed with her dog, captioning it "My sick bed companion!"
A household name in UK television
Ruth Langsford has been a regular on Loose Women since 1999, with a brief break from 2002-2010. She returned as an anchor in 2012. Langsford is also known for hosting This Morning alongside her husband Eamonn Holmes, and they left the show in 2020.
