Former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson has expressed his concerns about girlfriend Zara McDermott dancing with Graziano Di Prima on Strictly. On his Hits Radio show, the 31-year-old admitted to feeling "terrified" by Graziano's good looks, height, and youthfulness compared to himself.
Getting to know Graziano
Thompson revealed that he had known about McDermott's partnership with Graziano for some time and that the couple had even invited him into their lives. The reality star described the pro dancer as a "beautiful man" with "big muscles" and explained that they had recently shared a meal together, during which they discovered more about Graziano's background. Raised in Sicily, he worked as a grape stomper before becoming a professional dancer. Thompson described him as "the loveliest man."
The resemblance to a friend
While the couple had a great time with Graziano, Thompson couldn't help but notice his resemblance to his friend, TOWIE star Pete Wicks. According to Thompson, Graziano looked like "Pete just a bit better looking, a little bit less haggard to be fair." However, despite this resemblance, Thompson praised Graziano's personality and the deep conversations they had during their dinner together.
Zara's dream come true
McDermott, a Love Island star, is the first from the reality show to compete on Strictly Come Dancing. At the launch show, she expressed her excitement, revealing that she had been a fan of the show since childhood and that her "dreams had come true" by becoming a contestant.
