Saturday Kitchen in chaos as Tom Allen delivers outrageous quips and makes retching noises during recipe

SATURDAY Kitchen was even more chaotic than usual today when comedian Tom Allen appeared on the show.

The Bake Off spin-off host, 39, left the crew in hysterics as he made retching noises during a recipe and mocked host Matt Tebbutt.

At one point he even questioned the point of the series, saying: “You’ve been doing this cooking show for a long time and I don’t know if anybody cares.

“Like, it’s nice and you’ve got the pots out. Who’s doing it at home? Who’s doing it?”

The comedy started just a minute in when Matt introduced Tom, with the stand-up star replying: “It’s a real thrill… for you.”

Later, Matt tried to get Tom back onto the topic being discussed, saying: “We’re getting off message, can I carry on?”

He replied wearily: “Oh God, if you want to go on with this show, I don’t know…”

Tom then started making retching noises while Matt introduced his “celebration of cauliflower” recipe, an ingredient he dislikes.

However, the host – who is often confronted with troublesome guests on the show – embraced the fun on today’s pre-recorded show.

Matt was left in hysterics at Tom’s reaction to his question: “Are there lots of tickets left for the tour?”

The comedian replied: “How dare you! The majority of the dates have pretty much sold out.”

Fans were left laughing at home too, with one writing: “Tom Allen: the funniest person on TV.

“Just watched Saturday Kitchen and I was in hysterics…..had a tear in my eye too. I’ve never watched a SK episode twice but I will today.”

Another wrote: “Never laughed so much. Matt asked Tom about how tickets were going for his new show, Tom reply was a stinger.”

A third told the show’s Twitter account: “Brilliant programme this morning. I’ve cried laughing at Tom Allen.”
