Scarlett Moffatt confesses her bad spelling led to a friend getting an embarrassing tattoo

SCARLETT Moffatt has confessed that her poor spelling led to her friend getting an embarrassing tattoo while they were on holiday.

The I’m a Celebrity winner, 31, made the revelation on Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable – the show that sees famous faces share their most outrageous sins.

Scarlett confessed her friend Jenny was left with an unfortunate tattoo due to her bad spelling

Jenny was supposed to get “Don’t Stop Believin'” inked on her neck

But that tattoo appears to read: “Don’t Stop Bellending”

Former Gogglebox star Scarlett told how she convinced her pal Jenny Flemming to get the inking during a boozy night out in Turkey.

She said: “We went on holiday to Turkey.

“We got pretty drunk and I was like, ‘Why don’t we all get tattoos?”

The idea was that Jenny would get “Don’t Stop Believin'” tattooed on the back of her neck, after the two friends fell in love with the Journey song when it was featured on Glee.

Scarlett admitted that she scribbled what she thought was the name of the song on a piece of paper for the tattoo artist – but in hindsight confessed the details of the night are a little blurry.

She added: “It was about three o’clock in the morning. I think we could have possibly paid the tattoo man with a kebab, I can’t remember.

“At 3am ‘Believin” is a hard word.”

The next day, when Scarlett was putting suncream on Jenny’s back, they discovered her inking actually appeared to read: “Don’t stop bellending”.

Luckily, Jenny was able to see the funny side and actually kept the tattoo.

She added of the wild night: “We were supposed to go for a kebab and Scarlett took me to the tattoo shop with a drag queen.”

Last month The Celeb Report revealed Scarlett will return to our screens to front a documentary looking at the rise in cases of Tourette’s syndrome and tic disorders among teens.

During the pandemic, medics have seen an increase in the number of young people with the conditions.

In new Channel 4 show Scarlett Investigates, she will be trying to find out why, in what becomes a personal journey.

She said: “This is something I feel incredibly passionate about as I suffered with facial tics when diagnosed with Bell’s palsy as a child.

“I wish there was this kind of information and education available back then, as it’s something so many young people have to deal with.”
