Stacey Solomon has opened up about her views on Matt Hancock’s stint in the jungle
Matt is one of 12 celebrities taking part in this year’s series
Matt entered the jungle alongside Seann Walsh during Wednesday night’s instalment.
Some of the celebrities, as well as viewers watching at home have made it clear that they’re not happy about Matt’s stint on the programme.
The Loose Women gang went on to discuss the conversation that the politician had with camp mate Babatunde Aleshe last night.
They were talking about when Matt was sacked from his Secretary of State role during the coronavirus pandemic for breaking Covid rules with aide Gina Coladangelo.
Stacey explained that she “can’t understand” why people cheat, and also touched upon her struggles during lockdown and highlighted how she followed the rules, while he didn’t.
Stacey said: “He’s sitting there, I dunno, like I love my grandma, I didn’t get to see her for two and a half years and I wasn’t snogging her.
“I almost feel like it’s a bit of a kick in the face.”
Carol McGiffin, 62, revealed that she’s boycotted the show, and won’t watch it until he’s not in it anymore.
Speaking to Carol, Stacey said: “I totally get where you’re coming from so I don’t think you’re weird.”
Carol replied: “With the Matt thing?”
“I get it, it’s a hard one,” Stacey confessed.
Stacey won the 10th series of I’m A Celebrity in 2010.
Kay went on to say that she thinks that the rest of the camp mates have handled themselves very well with the situation.
Stacey believes that she would struggle if she was in the jungle with Matt.
“I don’t know what I’d do if I was a camp mate in there,” Stacey said.
“It must be so hard for them this year.

“Some of them have gone in there to boost their careers, some have gone in for money reasons.
“Whatever reason we decide to do the show for, and you know that is going to be completely dictated by someone else now.”
