An Instagram blunder by a member of the crew has seemingly revealed the date of the Strictly Come Dancing grand finale. The popular celebrity dancing show is set to return for a three-month run to determine the next Ballroom champion. This year's series is set to launch this weekend, and the leaks have already begun.
A social media slip-up
Lee Peart, the live audience warm-up entertainer for Strictly Come Dancing, shared a picture of his security pass on Instagram, expressing his excitement for the show's return. However, eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed the expiry date on the pass, which appears to disclose the date of this year's grand finale.
The security pass is set to expire on Saturday, December 23, indicating that this will be the date of the highly-anticipated finale. If this is the case, it would make it one of the latest-running series of the show to date, concluding just days before Christmas.
A star-studded cast
Before the season kicks off on September 16th, the stars of Strictly Come Dancing posed for a glamorous photoshoot. This year's celebrity lineup includes Angela Rippon, Layton Williams, Nigel Harman, Ellie Leach, Amanda Abbington, Les Dennis, and Waterloo Road's Adam Thomas, among others. Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon, Nikita Kanda, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Annabel Croft, Jody Cundy, Zara McDermot, and Bobby Brazier will also be taking part.
