STRICTLY Come Dancing fans are convinced that Dan Walker has “given away” his professional dance partner in a social media snap.
The BBC Breakfast star took to his Twitter to share a cryptic post of his feet alongside his partners as they took to the rehearsal studio for the first time.
Dan, 44, donned a pair of bright red football socks and black dance shoes as he stood side-by-side with his secret professional dance partner.
The mystery dancer opted for blue leggings and wooly leg warmers and matching jazz shoes – pointing her toe towards the camera.
“I wasn’t sure if my Strictly professional partner would approve of the red football socks, but she says they are bringing out the best in me,” Dan wrote.
Fans are already convinced that they have worked out who the TV host is partnered up with – thanks to the pro partner’s shoe size.
Viewers of the competition think Dan will walk out onto the floor with Nadiya Bychkova on Saturday as her height means she wears bigger shoes.
“Dan has to be with the tallest female professional surely, Nadiya?” one fan pointed out, as a second said: “Nadiya without a doubt!”
“Nadiya!” a third simply wrote, as a fourth pointed out it was “easier to narrow down” based on Dan’s height at 6’2″.
“Searching all the women professionals Instagram pics to see if I can spy blue socks,” another die-hard fan said of their sleuthing.
The big reveal of who BBC star Dan has been partnered up with will come on Saturday night – with the launch of this year’s star-studded competition.
Fans of the show are also convinced they have worked out who fellow contestant Tom Fletcher is due to compete alongside due to her FEET.
The McFly singer took to Instagram to share a photo from the rehearsal floor – showing only his dance partner from the knees down.
Ahead of the official partner reveal on Saturday, Tom, 36, may have given away his partner’s identity prematurely as fans think they have it sussed.
Viewers of the BBC One dancing show are sure that the pair of feet in the photo next to the pop band frontman belong to Amy Dowden.
The BBC One competition has already been thrown into chaos after one of the professional stars tested positive for Covid-19.
A source said: “This is proving to be a nightmare for producers, just as they prepare to bring back Strictly for its first full series since the pandemic.”
That means the celebrity they were paired with may now have to be given a new partner because they’re unlikely to have enough time to practice together before the first live show takes place on September 25.
“It means that Strictly viewers are likely to watch the pro paired with their celeb, then they could be separated by the time the first live show begins,” the source continued.
“That also means that the pro in question will probably end up only taking part in group dances throughout the new series, which will be particularly galling.”
Strictly Come Dancing starts at 7:45pm on Saturday on BBC One
