STRICTLY Come Dancing star John Whaite may have given away his partner is Johannes Radebe in a tell-tale studio snap.
The Great British Bake Off star – who will take part in a same-sex couple on the upcoming BBC One competition – may have ruined the partner secret.
While producers have been going to great length to keep the celebrities partnerships under wraps, one looks to have been foiled already.
John, 32, took to Instagram to write a gushing tribute to his soon-to-be revealed dance partner as he leaned against the studio wall.
Posing in tiny dance shorts and a white top, the baker looked comfortable in the space – which consisted of a stone wall and black-railing clad windows.
John wrote: “This whole strictly journey is eye-opening: learning to believe in yourself; learning to open up to and understand and trust a new partner; learning to be patient and kind with each other.
“There’s a huge thing missing from this photo – my dance partner. He’s the one holding us together and carrying me through this unknown territory.”
He went on to gush about how his mystery partner would be “by his side” on Saturday night so audiences could see “how hard they’re working”.
But while John kept things under wraps – a second video posted by Johannes Radebe appeared to give away that the pair are parters.
While the professional ballroom dancer performed for his followers, the familiar stone walls and black windows could be seen in the background.
“Way too excited two more sleeps to go,” Johannes captioned the video as he performed a Salsa-inspired dance to Janet Jackson’s Made For Now.
Fans immediately noticed the similarities in the studios, and took to the comments section of John’s post to point it out.
“You and Johannes in the same studio!” one wrote, as a second chimed in: “I’m back you on your SCD journey! Best of luck with….Johannes.”
A third added: “OMG you’re with Johannes!!!! What a fierce couple!!!,” as a fourth said: “So excited to see you and Johannes dance together!”
Producers have been trying to keep the celebrity-professional partnerships secret, but Johannes and John aren’t the first to be foiled already.
MORE COUPLES FOILED?
Dragon’ Den star Sara Davis was seen hugging professional ballroom dancer Aljaz Skorjanec between rehearsals on Friday afternoon.
While eagle-eyed viewers of the ballroom show were certain McFly front man Tom Fletcher had given away his partner in a snap of her FEET.
Viewers of the BBC One dancing show are sure that the pair of feet in the photo next to the pop band frontman belong to Amy Dowden.
While they also think that BBC Breakfast star Dan may have already foiled who his partner is due to the length of her slender legs.
The mystery dancer opted for blue leggings and woolly leg warmers and matching jazz shoes – pointing her toe towards the camera.
Fans of the competition think Dan will walk out onto the floor with Nadiya Bychkova on Saturday as her height means she wears bigger shoes.
The BBC One competition has already been thrown into chaos after one of the professional stars tested positive for Covid-19.
A source said: “This is proving to be a nightmare for producers, just as they prepare to bring back Strictly for its first full series since the pandemic.”
That means the celebrity they were paired with may now have to be given a new partner because they’re unlikely to have enough time to practise together before the first live show takes place on September 25.
“It means that Strictly viewers are likely to watch the pro paired with their celeb, then they could be separated by the time the first live show begins,” the source continued.
“That also means that the pro in question will probably end up only taking part in group dances throughout the new series, which will be particularly galling.”
Strictly Come Dancing starts at 7.45pm on Saturday on BBC One
